Race Timing & Baggage
Your race numbers will be posted out to you in advance of the event. Please note that this will be no earlier than two weeks before.
A baggage tent will be available in the event village for you to leave your belongings. Your runner number will have a detachable strip for you to attach to your bag.
Your number will have your timing chip attached to the back of it. Please be careful not to pierce this strip when you attach your number.
All finishers will receive a text message at the end of the event with their provisional times.
A larger version of the route can be downloaded using the button further up the page.
The route heads out via Radcliffe-on-Trent to Shelford before returning to take in Lady Bay, Trent Bridge and the Victoria Embankment.
There are a couple of small climbs on the route, one at around the 7 mile mark and another at 12 miles. Otherwise it is very flat.
The course will be officially licenced and measured to UKA standards.
Cut Off Time
A generous cut off time of four and a half hours has been set for the event.
Around the Route
There will be six water stations on the route – one every three miles. There will also be isotonic drinks available at the 9 mile station.
In addition we will have sweets and other quick energy snacks available at various points.
There will also be a couple of toilets located at each water station just in case you need them!
Following the water stations, bins will be provided for you to discard any bottles and other litter you have finished with. Please use these and do not just throw them on the floor or into the bushes.
When you finish, you will receive a great medal, a bottle of water and isotonic drink, a great technical t-shirt and an item (TBC) to eat.
An event village will be in place which will feature a massage tent and food vendors.
Please do not stop as soon as you cross the line as this can affect those finishing behind you. Please keep moving through the finish area until you have cleared the course.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
– Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male
– Female Vets – LV35, LV45, LV55 (Top finisher in each category)
– Male Vets – MV40, MV50, MV60 (Top finisher in each category)
Presentations will take place at approximately 12pm
